Scan groups

One code, different content

Creating scan groups allows you to deliver content to specific target groups while ensuring that only these individuals have access to the data relevant to them.

The idea behind 2D migration is to apply a single code to the packaging that can be used to view product-specific information. However, different stakeholders have different information requirements. SecIdent therefore offers the option of defining verification groups. These verification groups receive information that is not visible to others.

Example: Customs

A classic use case for defining verification groups is customs. Customs requires documents that are not intended for the end user. If customs is defined as a verification group, it must authenticate itself before scanning and receives a different response page than non-authenticated users.

All customs-related documents can be provided with SecIdent at the item level on the response pages. The final end user will not be able to view these documents.
