Interpack: 7. Mai 2026 in Düsseldorf

SecIdent & Wipotec Demo DPP-Ready 2D Codes

Companies still running 1D barcodes are heading toward a regulatory wall — and it's arriving faster than most production planners expect. On 7 May, SecIdent and Wipotec will demonstrate at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf what a 2D code migration looks like when it's built for the Digital Product Passport under ESPR (EU) 2024/1781 from day one.

From 2D Code to Digital Product Passport

A QR code or Data Matrix is not automatically a Digital Product Passport. What matters is what's behind it: which data is encoded, where does the scan lead, who can access which information.

SecIdent generates 2D codes that already meet DPP requirements — or more precisely: codes structured to do so the moment product-specific Delegated Acts come into force. The code itself doesn't change. The data behind it grows with the requirements.

That's the core of the live demo at the show: SecIdent creates the product, batch, or individual unit, attributes it with the relevant data, generates a DPP-compliant QR code from it, and transmits it directly to the Wipotec packaging or printing line — no intermediate step, no manual handoff. What ends up on the packaging is already product passport-ready.

What we're showing at the Wipotec Stand

Wipotec builds inspection and serialization solutions for regulated markets — including weighing systems and track-and-trace systems with a long track record in pharma. SecIdent's machine integration plugs directly into that process: code request, generation, transmission — fully automated.

At Hall 15, Stand C42, we'll show what this looks like in practice:

  • SecIdent generates Serial Codes with DPP-compliant payload

  • Direct transmission to the Wipotec line, no manual intervention

  • Scanning the code opens a structured product page — DPP-ready today

Companies planning or setting up pharma serialization under 2011/62/EU (Falsified Medicines Directive) should also stop by. SecIdent has been running pharma serialization since 2018 with full EU Hub connectivity — the onboarding is more straightforward than most expect.

We're happy to talk — whether it's a concrete project, open questions about DPP implementation, or a first overview. Drop by the stand, or schedule a meeting in advance.

SecIdent and the Digital Product Passport

SecIdent has been providing digital product identities for regulated markets for over a decade. The platform handles the generation of tamper-proof Serial Codes, machine line integration, and product data management — including the requirements of the Digital Product Passport under ESPR (EU) 2024/1781. Operated exclusively in German data centers, ISO 27001 certified.
