From exhibitor to speaker

SecIdent exhibited at Battery Manufacturing Day 2025. At that point the battery passport was still a large question mark for many visitors. What does it actually mean, what changes on the production side, which attributes have to be in it at all.

That knowledge gap has largely closed since then. To make sure the remaining open points get resolved as well, and that everyone affected can introduce the battery passport in time for 18 February 2027, we are using the 2026 slot to bring both sides together in one presentation. What is already settled, and what is still open.

The event takes place on 18 and 19 November 2026 at the GenoHotel in Karlsruhe. It is hosted by the editorial teams of »Automobil Industrie« and MM MaschinenMarkt. The programme includes a guided tour of the Karlsruhe Research Factory for AI-integrated production, a networking dinner on the eve of the main day, and expert talks, a startup session and a panel discussion on day two.

Talk on the battery passport roadmap

On Thursday 19 November 2026, André Simmert, Managing Director and CTO of Brainority Software, speaks from 12:15 to 12:40 on „Batteriepässe – Roadmap für die nächsten 10 Jahre" (Battery passports, a roadmap for the next ten years).

The talk is vendor neutral and covers:

• what the Batteries Regulation actually requires and which implementing rules are still outstanding

• what a working battery passport looks like in a real factory, from data flow to the code on the product

• common misconceptions, practical pitfalls and the architecture decisions that will shape the next ten years

• last-minute steps before 18 February 2027 that reduce risk without creating vendor lock-in
